Why You Should Attend
We are living in the last days! See the amazing facts below:
The time is at hand when there will be sorrow in the world that no human balm can heal. The Spirit of God is being withdrawn. Disasters by sea and by land follow one another in quick succession. How frequently we hear of earthquakes and tornadoes, of destruction by fire and flood, with great loss of life and property! Apparently these calamities are capricious outbreaks of disorganized, unregulated forces of nature, wholly beyond the control of man; but in them all, God's purpose may be read. They are among the agencies by which He seeks to arouse men and women to a sense of their danger.
EARTHQUAKES
And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.
(Luke 21:11)
FLOODS
The passing days are eventful and full of peril. Signs of a most startling character appear in floods, in hurricanes, in tornadoes, in earthquakes, in casualties by sea and land. The judgments of God are falling on the world, that men may be awakened to the fact that Christ will come speedily.
FIRES
Everything in the world is in agitation. The signs of the times are ominous. Coming events cast their shadows before. The Spirit of God is withdrawing from the earth, and calamity follows calamity by sea and by land. There are tempests, earthquakes, fires, floods, murders of every grade. Who can read the future? Where is security? There is assurance in nothing that is human or earthly.
HAIL
... hast thou seen the treasures of the hail, Which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war?
(Job 38:22-23)
WAR AND CONFLICT
Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:
(Luke 21:10)
The Bible declares that in the last days there will be a proliferation of war and strife. Nations will be unable to reach lasting peaceable agreements with one another leading to outbreaks of war and vast bloodshed.
INCREASE IN CRIME
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
(2 Timothy 3:1)
We are living in the midst of an "epidemic of crime," at which thoughtful, God-fearing men everywhere stand aghast. The corruption that prevails, it is beyond the power of the human pen to describe.
PESTILENCE AND DISEASE
... and there shall be famines, and pestilences ...
(Matthew 24:7)
We hear now of earthquakes in divers places, of fires, of tempests, of disasters by sea and land, of pestilence, of famine. What weight do these signs have upon you? This is only the beginning of what shall be. The description of the day of God is given through John by the Revelator. The cry of the terror-stricken myriads has fallen upon the ear of John. "The great day of His wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?" The apostle himself was awed and overwhelmed.
FAMINE
... and there shall be famines ...
(Matthew 24:7)
PERSECUTION
Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
(Matthew 24:9-10)
